Java desktop links of the week, May 2

Another month, and another week of desktop links. I hope there is something of interest in the links below for everyone. As always, feel free to get in contact with me with anything you want me to include.

Swing

JavaFX

  • Oracle Technical Network is doing presentations in Brisbane and Perth, Australia. One of the talks is going to be an intro to JavaFX 2.0. The day is free to attend - I'll be going to the Brisbane day.
  • Tom Eugelink has blogged about in-progress JavaFX 2.0 EA APIs, specifically those related to listening to property invalidation / change events. Because these are all pre-beta APIs, there is still a chance that all of these may change to be more convenient for this kind of use case.
  • Eric Bruno has blogged about a JavaFX 1.3.1-based multi-column/multi-select ListView control.

Miscellaneous

That's that for another week. Catch you all in a weeks time :-)
